The technical writer will closely work with various entities within the Company in the development and the conclusion of various proposals.

Principal tasks and responsibilities include:

In the context of tenders, the technical writer is responsible for coordinating key activities related to the process. Responsibilities include:

  • Plan and monitor development activities to meet deadlines
  • Analyze tender documents
  • Review contract clauses and verify the conformity of proposals
  • Assemble the proposal and ensure its quality
  • Attend proposal team meetings
  • Improve the proposal process/SOW to achieve maximum efficiency

The technical writer’s responsibilities also include:

  • Plan, develop, organize, write and review operational procedures and manuals.
  • Gather electronic documentation in addition to paper manuals.
  • Maintain an extensive library of technical terminology and documentation.
  • Analyze documents to maintain style continuity of content.
  • Manage the documentation process, which includes creating, editing, versioning, reviewing and publishing documentation.
  • Organize and streamline documentation associated with different products using existing templates or your creation.
  • Set up workflows to ensure the relevance and updating of documentation.
  • Edit, clarify and revise technical documents, and coach writing beginners by teaching them methods to improve as needed.
  • Produce writing that respects the standards of organization, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology defined.
  • Combine visuals with texts to present complex information so that it is easily understood by the target audience.

Qualifications and pre-requisites:

  • Solid knowledge of software tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat
  • Knowledge of Contact Centers and CRM is an asset
  • Experience in project management is an asset
  • 10 years + of experience in IT or consulting services
  • Bachelor’s degree is an asset
  • Excellent understanding of the different phases of IT project implementation
  • Ability to successfully communicate client tender objectives and their main characteristics to the delivery and sales teams through oral and written presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills: capacity to work in teams of various sizes, with employees with different technical abilities and professional authority
  • Ability to manage and coordinate service and information requests from stakeholders with proactive means of communication
  • Ability to analyze and write proposals
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Strong organizational skills, precision and great attention to detail
  • Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) is mandatory
